Services
While Eminent Terrain Inc. specializes in custom landscape design and installation, we also offer a number of compatible services as explained in more detail below.
Landscape Design
Design services are offered at a rate of $90.00 per hour. Typical plans range from $500.00 to $1,500.00 in price based on the extent of the design. If the landscape installation bid is accepted then the design fee will be credited towards the installation.
Upon an initial consultation and site visit with the home or business owner, Eminent Terrain Inc. will set a flat fee for landscape plans based on the client's landscape needs. Once agreed upon, we will begin the design process by taking photographs and measurements of the site, analyzing sun and shade conditions, drainage patterns and water requirements and developing preliminary design concepts based on the client's wish list.
Completed plans are typically 24" x 36", full color and printed on glossy photo paper with a set scale of 1"=10'. They are fully labeled and reader friendly and are accompanied by a detailed installation bid.
Landscape Installation
To ensure design intent, Kristi will be on the job site assisting with the installation process which begins with preparation of the area including debris removal and pruning of existing vegetation if utilized in the design.
If proposed, irrigation will be installed prior to any dirt work. (See irrigation description below). It is standard for Eminent Terrain Inc. to add 4" to 6" of new topsoil to all new landscape beds. This is necessary for proper plant development and care. Existing beds will be amended with new soil as needed.
Hard surfaces such as rock work, masonry & wood work are installed next followed by plant material and finally 3" of hardwood mulch. The installation process can take anywhere from one day to two weeks depending on the complexity of the design.
Landscape Maintanence
Because your time is valuable we offer bi-annual mainenance service including pruning and fertilizing trees and shrubs and refreshing your mulch and seasonal color.
Irrigation
As a fledgling company, Eminent Terrain, Inc. is continually working toward offering full service irrigation systems for your convenience. However, we will gladly recommend a qualified irrigation specialist and coordinate our services.
Stone Work
Eminent Terrain Inc. installs a variety of dry-laid rock work including native stacked retaining walls and flagstone paths and patios. Paths can be stone-edged or steel-edged and laid on a sand foundation with sand and pea gravel or aggregate joints.
Drainage
We design and install French drain systems, dry creek beds and gutter drain systems to help move water off your property.
Water Features
Eminent Terrain Inc. specializes in custom hand-crafted water jars to add sound and attract birds to your garden. These water features are low maintenance and attractive in the winter months as well. Because they continually move water, they do not promote mosquito breeding.
Custom Planted Pots
We offer all-size custom planted pots for your patio, deck or garden. We can plant your existing pots and containers as well.
